Here is a collation of IELTS General Training Writing Task1 and Task2 Questions of the year 2013 by my co-worker.

Task1
Formal Letter

You have made an appointment with one bank manager, but you cannot make it. Write a letter to the manager. In your letter, you should:
- apologize for not being able to meet him/her
- explain why you cannot go to the meeting
- make another appointment with him/her

Recently, your position in the company has changed, and accordingly, you are writing a letter to ask for some corresponding training programs. In your letter, you should say:
- What was your last position?
- What qualities does your new position require?
- How can training help you in your new position?

Write a letter to a company from which you just bought some items online, but you found that they delivered some items wrong after the mail arrived. In your letter:
- describe the items you bought

Semi-formal Letter
Your company is organizing a trip for a language course in a foreign country and you want to apply but places are limited. Write a letter to your boss and say:

You are going to travel for a week. Write a letter to your neighbor and ask him to take care of your house when you leave. In your letter, you should say:
- what you are going to do
- what you want him to do for you
- what he should do if something happens

Informal Letter
You are going overseas for a holiday, and you want to borrow a guidebook from a friend. Write a letter to your friend and say:
- What book would you like to borrow
- What would you like to use this guidebook for
- How to return the book

Someone has given you two sport tickets. Write a letter to one of your friends, and in your letter, you should say:
- where you got those tickets and who gave them to you
- What is the sport event
- Invite your friend to go with you

You are going to apply for a job in an international company where a friend of you works. Write a letter to your friend, in the letter, you should say:
- what job are you applying for
- why are you interested in this job
- ask your friend to give you some advice

Discuss both views

Some people believe that children should do what their parents tell them to do. Others think children must learn thinking themselves. Discuss both views and give your opinion. [2013/01/05]

Some people say that learning to play a musical instrument is a waste of time, while others believe it can bring many benefits. Discuss both views and give your own opinion. [2013/06/08]

In many countries, teenagers are encouraged to do part time job. Some think it is a good thing while others disagree. Discuss both view and give your own opinion. [2013/07/27]

Some people think personal happiness is directly related to economic success, while others believe it depends on other factors. Discuss both views and give your opinion. [2013/09/21]

Advantages/Disadvantages

Lifestyles and culture in many countries are becoming similar, Is it a positive or negative trend? [2013/02/02]

More and more young adults claim that mobiles are their most important belongings, is the popularity of having mobiles a good thing or bad thing? [2013/07/06]

Nowadays in many cities most people live in great apartment blocks. Does this kind of accommodation have more advantages or disadvantages? [2013/08/29]

Problem + analysis + solution

Nowadays, many children are not as fit and healthy as children used to be in the past. What are the causes? How could it be solved? [2013/03/23]

Some parents find no time to spend with their children. They give their children television and computer games in order to keep them quiet. Give your own solutions and reasons. [2013/11/21]

Combination

In the modern society, shopping as a free time hobby, is replacing traditional hobbies. What are the reasons of this and is this positive or negative? [2013/01/12]

In many schools, sport and exercise classes are replaced by academic subjects. What is your opinion? What the effects to children' lives? [2013/02/23]
