IDP just announced that the FIRST GLOBAL computer delivered IELTS test for both Academic and General Training is available in Australia!!! NOT the UKVI, that means candidates can choose paper-based or computer-based IELTS test for both modules.

A limited number of test centres in Australia are now offering computer-delivered IELTS.

So, what is new about computer-delivered IELTS?

If you choose the new option, you will take the Listening, Reading and Writing components using a computer. The Speaking test will remain face-to-face, as we believe it is the most effective way of assessing your speaking skills and prompts a more lifelike performance.

All other aspects of the test are identical, whether it is taken on paper or on computer.

Results for computer-delivered IELTS will be available 5-7 working days after you finish all components of your test.

The first test will be held on 12/12/2017 in Melbourne CBD, and the following is the test centre floor plan.computer delivered IELTS test centre floor plan

Hi Jeff, I am just wondering, will there be word count available for the computer-based writing task? Cause that would be such a great help!

Yes, of course. There will be ‘word count’ at the bottom of the screen and your typed answer (your essays) will be saved automatically.

      Hope that is helpful.
