Applications

In order to apply for a test you must complete the application form and mail all documents to our office in Melbourne. Please ensure that you have printed the entire application form and mailed to us in an A4 envelope with the following:

·         A photocopy of your passport

·         2 signed passport photos

·         Completed and signed declaration

·         Completed and valid payment form

Application Form

To complete and print the application form click here and please note the following:

·         Incomplete / incorrect application forms cannot be processed and may result in you missing your preferred test date.

·         Please ensure that you complete the on-line PDF application form process (all six steps). All pages of the application form must be printed and mailed with the payment form, photocopy of your passport and passport photos.

·         You may choose a second preferred test date if your first choice becomes full. If you do not wish to choose another test date leave it blank. If you wish to book two test dates you must send in two separate application forms.

·         Please do not fold application forms.

Passport photos

Please ensure that the passport photos supplied with your application form meet the following criteria:

·          Passport photos must be less than 6 months old

·          Passports must have a clear WHITE background

·          Please only sign the BACK of the photos NOT THE FRONT

·         As of December 2009, candidates must not wear glasses in the photographs they submit for IELTS registration. 

Payment Form

The payment form will be printed as part of the application form. Please ensure that this page is signed and dated by the Cardholder. 

·         Please note that we only accept Visa or Mastercard.

·         Please check with your bank or the card holder that online transactions are enabled on the card and that there are sufficient funds (i.e. OVER $310 in the account) at all times.

Once the payment has cleared an emailed receipt will be sent.

Information regarding the Speaking test

The 20 Minute Speaking Test will be held mid-week before the written test date. If your application is successful for the written test on 10th April, your Speaking Test will be held on Tuesday 6th, Wednesday 7th or Thursday 8th April between 9am and 5pm.

• Please note that we are not able to provide a personal preference for Speaking Test dates and times.

To ensure we can conduct tests on time for all candidates, please make sure you arrive at your speaking test no later than 10 minutes before your appointment

Location of the Listening/Reading/Writing test

The location of this part of the test is released once all applications have been processed. We will notify you of the test location by email but rest assured that the test is held in Melbourne's Central Business District.

On test day:

·         Registration on test day will commence at 7:30 am and will close at 8:40am.

·         Personal belongings other than stationery will not be permitted into the exam room

Passports are mandatory

When attending an IELTS test, you must bring your passport with you for both the Speaking and Written parts of the test. If you do not bring your passport, you cannot sit the test.

Your passport must be valid at the time you take the test. Certified copies of passports or letters regarding passports are not accepted for identity checks, neither is a driver's licence, national identification card, marriage certificate, birth certificate, student card or any other form of identification.

Confirmation

Successful applicants will be notified by email of the location of the tests at least a week before the written exam. Please note that:

·         Your confirmation email will include the date and time and location of your Speaking test.

·         Directions to the Speaking and Listening/Reading/Writing tests will also be included in the confirmation email.

·         If you do not receive a confirmation email 5 days before speaking tests and have been charged for the test please call immediately.
